Alice goes to the kitchen to introduce herself to the men, and is set up by Stud with Archie Trimble, and locked in the cold store. Joan forbids Kath from selling contraband to the men, as with increased security she is very likely to be found out. Archie turns out to be a toothless old crock. Ann warns Rita not to cause trouble either with the Blackmoor officers - or with Kath, who is now top dog. Rita tells Alice and Lorelei that she isn't interested in getting back at Rita, only at Craven. Rita gives Kath the cold shoulder when she tries to be friendly at dinner and snaps at Alice when she says she knows how she feels about Bongo's death. Marty gazes dreamily at Spike's file (which appears to have been issued by the Central Correspondence Bureau ) and has a misty flashback. Craven and Joan heavy Rita: he warns her not to press for an investigation and threatens to get at her via her friends. The Minister decides there will be a Departmental investigation into Bongo's death after Rita ignores the threats and makes a formal complaint. Marty is put on three month's probation as a result of his "insubordination" to Craven during the riot. Rita asks Lorelei and Alice for cash and tells them she has to move fast to get Craven after his threats against them. Kath offers Rita a bottle, but she smashes it on the floor. Lorelei goes to court. Rita buys a knife from Spider. Craven tells Stud to bash Alice at the social meeting with the women. Lisa tries to decoy Stud behind the shed, but he asks for Alice instead. As they go behind the shed, the other women grab him and take his clothes off. Craven stirs up Stud's feelings of humiliation at the hands of the women. Lorelei is returned to Wentworth on a five year sentence. Craven orders Joan to have her put in solitary, but she insists that Lorelei must not be hurt. Spike investigates the possibilities of communication within the prison, putting Spider's nose out of joint who sees it as her province. They fight and when Marty tries to put Spider on a charge for attacking Spike, but Spike takes the blame. Craven prevents Ann sending Spike to solitary, claiming she is claustrophobic. Joan goes to Lorelei's cell, throws her tray on the floor, puts her on a charge and takes her to solitary, ignoring Rita doing exactly what Lorelei is supposed to have done. Alice and Rita speculate about Joan's motives for having Lorelei sent to solitary. Craven lets Stud and Billy into solitary the same night wearing hoods , and they hold Lorelei down and rape her.
