  • Sarah is about to take responsibility for painting Spider, but the other women step forward at the same time to share the blame. Sarah offers to call quits on the feud with Spider, but Spider rejects it. Joan phones up a contact to set up the merchandise for Rodney to collect on his trip out of the prison with Kath and Merle. Sarah is told about her real parents and that her father's name is Franklin but she rejects the information and refuses to let the Wests visit her. Vicki warns Spider not to be too keen to put revenge against Sarah get the better of her business plans. Kath gives Merle a poncho to wear on their shopping trip, which is the only thing she has that will fit her. Meg returns to work from holiday in the outback. Rita makes Sarah talk her problems over. Meg's presents for her colleagues include a "precious thing" for Mervin and a "frightful tea towel" for Joyce. Merle and Kath load up the car while Rodney collects the drugs and booze from a man in the car park. While Kath takes Merle to an amusement arcade followed by a skating rink, he hides the drugs in cold cream jars. Ann gives the women permission to use the camera as long as Joyce takes the photos. Meg gives the women a souvenir boomerang to put up on the wall. Rita agrees to try to convince Sarah to see the Wests and Pamela says she will try to get them to visit just in case. Joan tells Kath to start selling the contraband straight away rather than wait until the shop is established as Kath wants. Lorelei sympathises with Sarah over the loss of her mother and Sarah urges her to get Zoe back from her foster parents. The women are given their first chance to buy goods from the shop. The boomerang Meg brought back from holiday crashes suddenly through the Ann's window just as she, Meg and Pamela are discussing the marked improvement in the women's behaviour since they knew they were getting the shop. It turns out to have been Merle trying it out. Alice orders some booze from Kath, and goes straight to Rita to tell her about it. Rita tries to find out from Merle what happened on her and Kath's trip out, but what she says makes no sense. Joan orders Kath to double her prices after only one day's "introductory" sale. Rita has to drag Sarah outside to see her foster parents and then has to force her to speak to them. Spider overhears Kath quoting the new prices, and offers to undercut them until Kath threatens her. Mr West tells Sarah he thinks he may have traced her real father and tells her that he wants to see her. Rita leads a boycott of the shop over the price rises .
