  • Sonia tells Reb she hopes she doesn't expect her to cover the bets she took on the snooker game: Judy teases Reb by suggesting it's not surprising she lost, as Cass's Uncle Eddie was Eddie Charlton. Rick comes round next morning still tied up in the back of a car in the junkyard. Myra feels guilty for hitting Kay (when did she do that?) Work starts at the junkyard and the car Rick was in goes into the crusher. Ann has a staff shortage: Joan has taken leave to visit her father and Rick hasn't turned in. Reb tries to back out of paying up on the bets on the grounds that Cass was coached by a professional, but Judy lets her know it was only a joke. Rick comes round again in a hotel room: Eddie has rescued him. Eddie tells Rick to forget what he saw. The VJ gives Reb an extra six months: Mo gets an extra month for slapping Joan and tells the women later that Joan didn't give evidence in person because she has taken time off work. Cass takes to heart Reb and Sonia's comments about her singing voice and decides to drop out of the glee club group. Alan goes to see Bill and gets a punch in the mouth for interfering. Myra explains to Judy that she can't take over Driscoll as her family problems take first place. Helen and the others take advantage of Joan's absence to taunt Sonia. The women find Cass in the rec room with ruined pianola rolls in her hands: she claims not to have done the damage. Stan walks in and is obviously shocked and hurt by the vandalism. Kay overhears Myra's casual threat to kill Bill. Rick goes looking for Eddie: he is told to keep his nose out. Minnie finds that the piano part of the piano still works so the Glee Club can continue their rehearsals. Mo hears that Susan Jordan has been caught for the cat burglaries: Judy is worried that she will not be released even so. Camilla offers Mo a job looking after her flat. Meg speculates that since Pixie hasn't been traced, something might have happened to her: given Pixie's trusting nature, she may even have been abducted. Mo is told she has to serve two weeks of the extra month, so Camilla phones up her own radio program to tell Mo's story on air. Meg hears the radio and stops the call. Ann is told that Camilla, not Mo, is to be released as a result. Myra comes home to find Bill and Gloria in the lounge: Bill tells her he's moving back into the family home and is bringing Gloria with him. Rick reports to Inspector Maynard that he's seen Eddie in suspicious negotiations with associates of Fellowes, but is told no action will be taken. After Rick leaves, we see that Eddie has been listening in the next room, and comments that Rick's novelty is a dangerous quality. During an argument, Myra is horrified when Bill remarks that Gloria could teach Kay a few (sexual) tricks and hits him with a handy wine bottle: he falls and hits his head on the fireplace. Kay sees the whole thing.
