  • The LSD trip is such a classic that it deserves a page to itself.

Wally may be the only male character to get a nipple closeup in the rather disturbing "morning after" scene with Samantha.

... and searches his room to recover the tape. She finds it (without much trouble) in its hiding place up the chimney. Minnie suspects Bobbie of the attack on Pixie. Ann excuses herself for not wanting Wally to even touch her. Bobbie does indeed have the necklace, hidden in her Walkman. Tracy Dixon is missing at a head count. The women are shocked to see Joan return to work when she walks into the dining room during breakfast. She strides up and down and glares silently at the women who attacked her. Minnie advises Bobbie to volunteer for work so she isn't left on her own during the day, but Meg tells her there are no places left as everyone seems to want to work that day. Joan tells Sonia she got the tape back. The Minister warns Ann there must be no more escapes and gives her a list of new security measures to implement. David disagrees with Joan's views on security and asks her if she's ever wondered why it was her the women singled out to attack and not some other officer. Joan finds out from Bobbie who was behind the attack on her and tells her to make Phyllis sweat a bit by letting her know she has told Joan about her involvement. Ann asks Scott about routine breast examinations for the women as a way of confirming her fears about herself. Phyllis bashes Bobbie, and Joan is there on cue to catch her, ruining her chance of parole. Joan and David discuss the escapes: Joan points the finger at Minnie, as she is the only one with the brains for the necessary planning. Ann makes an appointment to see the doctor. Inspector Thorne questions Joan about Don Baxter: the police suspect he was a hit man with a contract on her, but strangely turns down the invitation to point the finger at the women, possibly out of relief that she's off the hook herself. She goes to the laundry and tells she'll pick them off one by one. Minnie retorts that she'd better start with her if that's her plan. David tells Sonia he will set her free the next afternoon, though Sonia's suspicions don't seem to be aroused by the fact that he doesn't want anything in return. Two of Fellowes' henchmen break into Joan's house and warn her not to interfere in the drugs trade: to reinforce the point, they force her to take LSD. Pixie finds Bobbie with the necklace and knocks her out with a single punch. Sam has a surprise visit from Wally. Pixie's new found boxing skill proves not to be just a lucky hit, as she demonstrates to Cass. Joan relives her hanging as a bad acid trip, featuring Meg as a judge in goldface "Joker" makeup and the women accusing her of a series of crimes against them. The hangman prepares the rope and Joan imagines herself twisting and turning at the end of it. Ann goes up the attic and knocks on Wally's door, but he's not there. Ann finds out where he's been when she sees him next morning being dropped off outside by Sam. Wentworth receives an anonymous phone call about strange noises coming from Joan's house. Joan comes down from her trip with blood on her hands and finds she has killed her dog Major with a pair of scissors.
