Thanks to whoever it was who transcribed the full end credits of this episode for me.

The policeman recognises Doreen from when she was on the run with Franky. The shop assistant goes outside to get help for Lizzie and sees Doreen with the bottles. Lizzie assumes the police are about to arrest Doreen and rushes outside to take the blame, which lands them both in trouble, since the police were just about to accept Doreen's explanation. They are both charged with theft, but whereas Lizzie's bail is set at 40 cents (which is all the money she has on her), Doreen is remanded to Wentworth. After Judy's warning about being in a cell alone, Christine asks Jim when Judy will be back from solitary. When she accuses him of having ulterior motives for helping her, he admits that he would like to get to know her better - but on the outside. Judy tries to talk to Sharon through the walls of solitary , but only gets her attention when she lets her know she stood by and allowed Pat to frame her to separate her from Chrissie. Unfortunately, this has the opposite effect than Judy hopes: Sharon is enraged and calls her a "big stupid cow". Tony asks Paul if Sally can stay a few days longer until she can have her abortion as her family didn't seem keen to have her staying with them. When Doreen is brought back to Wentworth, Vera deliberately puts her in the cell with Bea and Pat, knowing what Bea's reaction will be. Lizzie vows that she'll make sure Doreen isn't convicted at her trial. Judy tells Sharon she can't face her trial unless she knows she is waiting for her, but Sharon is building up to a massive sulk and won't talk to her. When Pat comes to bring her meal, Sharon tells Jim she has some information for the narcotics squad. Paul tells Caroline about her mother's suicide attempt and she agrees to visit her in the nursing home. Vera warns Caroline she'll be keeping an eye on her and Jim. Doreen tells Erica she doesn't want to contact Kevin, as she hopes she won't be found guilty, though it seems that she does realise she will probably have to serve the remaining six months of her original sentence. Lizzie goes to talk to the shop assistant and when he won't change his statement to help Doreen, Lizzie smashes a few bottles, but she only ends up having to pay for them, and is released without being charged. Sharon tells the police that Judy was behind the drug supply operation on the outside. Chrissie teases Doreen by refusing to give back her engagement ring. Bea arrives on the scene and is just applying a little gentle persuasion by twisting Chrissie's arm up her back when Erica appears on a routine inspection. Doreen lags on Chrissie when Bea is about to get the blame. Kevin comes to the halfway house, and Lizzie tries to cover for Doreen's absence. Bill wants Sally to come back to him, but she refuses. Bea admits to Doreen that she's missed her and Lizzie's support. When Lizzie visits, Doreen tells her she can tell Kevin the truth. Judy's noisy exit to her trial distracts Meg and Vera and Lizzie slips back inside the prison. After searching everywhere, they find her having tea with Erica and trying to persuade her to let her come back inside if Doreen is found guilty. Erica gives her a lift back to the halfway house, where Kevin is waiting. She tells him how important it is not to just dump Doreen. Bill and a friend follow Tony and Sally from the abortion clinic to a bar, where Bill provokes Tony into attacking him. Judy is brought back to Wentworth on a one year sentence for trafficking in drugs. When she meets Chrissie, she tells her she is welcome to Sharon, but Bea is on the warpath and pushes Judy's face into a washbasin. Kevin visit Doreen to say he'll stand by her, but she tells him she doesn't want to ruin his life by marrying him and gives him back the engagement ring.

  • Jim mentions Dr Weissman as giving the psychological report on Chrissie.

Meg asks Doreen if she's sure she's made the right decision. As Kevin is leaving, the receptionist suggest he has a word with Paul Reid. Margo gets on the wrong side of both Bea and Judy. Paul tells Kevin that he might help Doreen by giving evidence in court that he is a stabilizing influence on her. When the police come to see Tony about the assault on Bill, he decides to tell the truth, and is taken to the police station to be charged. Bea tries to convince Doreen that her future is on the outside with Kevin. Paul tells Tony he can't help him any more after his latest escapade. Jim warns Judy to stay out of Bea's way. Bea tells the women she's going to ask Paul to scrap the radio project and pay the extra money from the sales of their craft items directly to them. Jim takes Chrissie to see Elizabeth, and a doctor tells her she will soon be well enough to be with Chrissie, but Jim warns that the Department will have to approve it. Judy starts work in the garden and asks where the solitary block is (she is told it's on the top floor). Lizzie gets a ten dollar fine. Doreen thanks Kevin for speaking up for her but tells him she hasn't changed her mind and he should find someone else. Tony is given three months on a prison farm for the assault and breaking his bond. Erica tells Chrissie she will need a psychological assessment and a Governor's report that she has been on her best behaviour. Paul agrees to Bea's suggestion but points out that someone will have to keep accounts of what each woman is owed. Bea warns Chrissie that her affair with Sharon will have to stop if she's not to be considered an unfit mother. Doreen comes back to Wentworth with an extra two weeks on top of the six months outstanding from her original sentence. Lizzie is feeling guilty and hits the booze at the halfway house. Sharon returns from solitary expecting a warm welcome, but gets the cold shoulder from Chrissie. Meg takes Caroline to see her mother in the nursing home. While they are working together in the garden, Doreen tells Judy about Franky, and Judy tells her about Sharon. Bea warns Sharon to leave Chrissie alone, and then tries to but in between Judy and Doreen when they walk into the rec room together. Sharon sits down next to Chrissie and grabs her hand, but Chrissie walks away and goes back to her cell. When Sharon follows her, Chrissie accuses Sharon of using her to make Judy jealous. She also tells Sharon that Doreen will be easy to scare off if she wants to get Judy back. Sharon tries to heavy Doreen in the shower next morning, but Judy notices and tells Doreen she'll fix Sharon. Erica refuses to let Caroline visit her mother now that she her condition has improved, so Jim has to exert very little pressure when he asks her again to agree his offer of bailing her. Judy goes to bash Sharon , and Chrissie defends her by breaking a chair over Judy's head (out of shot, unfortunately). Erica tells Chrissie the Department had approved her having Elizabeth with her, but now she might have to recommend against it.

  • Chrissie begs Sharon to tell the truth about the fight, but when Sharon is questioned her version of events is that Judy and Chrissie were fighting over her. Erica won't take her word for it and says she'll have to wait until Judy recovers consciousness. Paul tells Caroline she's unlikely to be allowed to go and live at home after what happened to her mother, and suggests the halfway house as an alternative. Jim is not too impressed when he finds out this is where Caroline is going to live. Paul tells Pat that her son Andrew is in trouble again, but she refuses to see him as seeing her last time made him run away from home. Caroline tells Bea what she's found out from Chrissie about the incident involving Judy. Sharon admits to Chrissie that she lied to Erica, saying that it was for the sake of their relationship and the baby would only come between them. Chrissie tells Sharon in no uncertain terms that the baby is far more important than Sharon as far as she's concerned. Pat and Sharon get involved in a minor scuffle in the corridor and Sharon gets accidentally cut on the arm with a knife. She's taken shrieking to the infirmary where the sister leaves her alone with Judy. Appalled by Sharon's selfishness, Judy decides to tell the truth about the fight. When Pat is questioned about the incident with the knife, she is provoked by Vera into insulting her in front of Erica and is sent to solitary for 24 hours. Judy's honesty with Erica gets her out of trouble, but Sharon loses all her privileges for 2 weeks. Pat rejects Paul's suggestion that she should appeal against her sentence. Paul goes to Erica with the suggestion even so, and also tries to put Chrissie's case. Sharon tries to make out that she sacrificed her privileges to help Chrissie. Erica tells Chrissie that she has changed her mind and will allow her to have Elizabeth in Wentworth. Caroline is released on bail and Paul takes her to the halfway house. Lizzie shoplifts nail varnish under the nose of a shop assistant. Paul asks Bea to support his new idea of a prisoners' drama group: in return she asks him to try to get the security gates unlocked. Caroline is left alone on her first night at the halfway house as both Lizzie and Rhonda are out, but Jim comes to visit to see how she is. Sharon practically demands a parting gift from Chrissie as she packs up to go to maternity, and Chrissie eventually gives her a cigarette lighter she particularly likes. Paul suggests to Erica that Judy should be moved in with Sharon, both because it might limit Sharon's trouble making potential and also because he feels Doreen is getting too attached to Judy. Caroline finds a box full of Lizzie's shoplifting spoils hidden under a bed. Rhonda is prepared to shop Lizzie to the police to keep the halfway house open. Lizzie tries on a mink coat in a shop ("Dattner") and walks out still wearing it, but to her dismay, no-one takes a blind bit of notice. Chrissie shows off her baby to the women in the rec room. Lizzie arrives back at the halfway house still wearing the mink, and is delighted when Rhonda tells her the police are on their way.

Lizzie tells the police she can't remember where most of the stuff came from and adds that she has no intention of paying her bail. Pat returns from solitary but she tells Bea she doesn't want her to try to get back at Sharon. Judy moves into Sharon's cell and Sharon pointedly drops her present of a pot plant on the floor. Judy has been given pills to take for her blood pressure. Lizzie is brought back to Wentworth to a welcome from Vera, and she is put in a cell in D block which Lizzie describes as "dark as the inside of a dog". Paul makes an announcement at breakfast that a theatre group will be visiting Wentworth to perform a play. Paul asks Meg how she thinks Pat will react to another appeal. Meg is reminded by this that she will be appearing herself as a witness against Geoff Butler at his forthcoming trial. Erica tells Lizzie she can't treat Wentworth as a hotel. Judy collapses while working in the garden but refuses to be examined by a doctor. Erica goes to court with Lizzie. Sharon hears of Judy's illness and goes to see how she is. Judy conceals from Sharon a sudden pain in her left arm. Lizzie is cheesed off when she is let off with a ten dollar fine and Erica pays it for her. She walks off in disgust and Erica follows her, managing just in time to stop Lizzie throwing a bottle through a shop window. Ken Pearce from the drama group arrives to see Paul and meets Erica. She is surprised to learn that he'd been in prison for 20 years fighting the system all the way. She tells him he reminds her of one of the prisoners at Wentworth, meaning Bea. Paul warns Jim he'd had an angry phone call from Michael Simpson wanting to know where Caroline is. Vera tells the women they will be cleaning up the dining room in preparation for the theatre group. Lizzie visits Bea and Bea tries to convince her she won't be able to get back inside by committing a crime deliberately. Bea meets Ken: he's impressed by her control over the women, but she sees him as an ex-con who's sold out to the screws. Ken introduces the play by the D4 drama group, though mercifully we are not shown any of it. Jim calls in at the halfway house to see Caroline under the pretext of warning her about Michael. Bea has to revise her opinion about Ken when she finds out he wrote the play (which was called "Green", from the colour prisoners never see inside). Jim takes Caroline for a walk and on the way back almost kisses her, though he draws back they are caught in the beam of a car's headlights in the dark. Caroline reacts with a horrified expression when Jim inadvertently reveals that he is married. Lizzie warns Caroline about the rules on officers fraternizing with ex-prisoners. Erica calls Jim into her office next morning and tells him she's had an anonymous phone call accusing him of having a relationship with Caroline.

  • Jim admits that he has visited Caroline but argues that the rule on association applies only to convicted criminals. Erica seems prepared to accept his story that his relationship with Caroline is only based on his concern for her. Vera notices that Jim has asked for a split shift and wonders why, since he usually hates doing them. Lizzie comes to visit Doreen with some hot gossip - as she's leaving she manages to whisper "Caroline and Fletch" to Doreen. When she gets back to the halfway house, Lizzie drops a heavy hint to Caroline to let her know she's aware of Jim's interst in her. Doreen finds Bea using her make-up, after which Bea has the bare faced cheek to criticise the theatre project as only for Erica's benefit. Jim sets all the women on picking up all cigarette ends and matches from the garden after Bea makes a saucy comment about him and Caroline. Judy gets the pain in her arm again so Judy takes her to the sister, who refuses to offer an opinion on what is wrong with her as she refused to have any tests, so she can only give her more pills. Back in her cell, Judy looks in the mirror and has a flashback sequence. Meg notices that Jim is edgy and asks him if it's because of Geoff Butler's trial. Lizzie goes shopping in another exclusive shop ("Oroton"?) and lifts a few items, having helpfully written out her name and address for the shop assistant. Judy and Sharon disagree about whether to support the drama group. Bea asks Paul if outside visits would happen if the drama group was a success and asks (casual-like) if Ken could visit again to "advise". Paul goes to Erica with Bea's other request - that the security gates be left open more often - and she tells him she was already considering it for the staff's sake. Lizzie packs her suitcase and waits for the police to arrive at the halfway house. Caroline says goodbye to Lizzie as she is taken to court later, and gets a warning about Jim in return. Leila wants to spend Jim's reward money on a good school for Matthew, but of course he has spent it bailing Caroline and her mother. Lizzie's trial is adjourned for a psychiatric report. Jim gets a silent call at Wentworth, but realises who it is from and gets to the halfway house in time to throw out Michael who has gone there to harass Caroline. Erica knows the Magistrate at Lizzie's trial. Carmel tries to convince Pat that she can win her appeal, but she turns it down and says she would rather not have her hopes raised again only to be disappointed. Lizzie overhears the Magistrate tell Erica about his memoirs, steals the manuscript from his office and flushes it down the toilet. This has the desired effect of getting her sent back to Wentworth on a six month sentence. Bea tells Pat about Marilyn and Eddie and their sessions in the attic, thus revealing the way her thoughts are going about her and Ken. Pat is told that Andrew has run away from the children's home again. Leila confronts Jim about the phone call she's had telling her about him and Caroline and the state of his finances: she tells him to get out of the house.
