The opening credits have no writer and director credits overlaid on top of the mugshots. It is therefore impossible to say who wrote the episode, but as director credits come in pairs it is probably directed by Steve Mann.

Meg tells Ann about Bobbie's accusation and adds that she has seen Rick grabbing hold of Sonia. Ann adds that she has seen Meg about finding Colleen drinking at work and requests her to step in as Acting Deputy. Sarah feeds Reb the story that Judy suggested. Sonia tells the women that Bobbie has accused Rick of rape: Cass tells them all to stop talking rubbish, as she can't believe Rick could be guilty. Ann interviews Rick about the rape accusation and suspends him. Reb is caught between Phyllis and Sarah, each one urging her to tell a different version of the kidnapping story. Ann talks to Bobbie unofficially and impresses on her the consequences of her accusation on Rick's career. Cass also puts pressure on Bobbie to tell the truth. Myra is inclined to believe Rick, especially when Sonia starts to insists he'd tried it on with her. Sonia approaches Bobbie and tells her she will support her story. Doreen gets an extra two weeks from the VJ, but shortly afterwards she is visited by Hans who tells her he no longer wants to marry her as he has met someone else: an older woman called Felicity. Cass goes to Ann to defend Rick and emphasises the concern he has for the women. Ann decides she has to settle the matter by arranging a confrontation. Helen passes Bert in the corridor and broadly hints that she's off to the library. Bobbie backs down when asked to repeat the accusation to Rick's face. Helen meets up with Bert in the library: she gives him a freebie in return for him speaking a few words into a tape recorder. After a heavying from Phyllis, Sarah tells Reb it is all a set-up to make her talk and Reb tells her the women won't make her change her story about the kidnapping. Joan nearly catches Helen and Bert. Ann visits Colleen to ask her to step down as Deputy Governor: Meg officially takes her place. Barry visits Sarah to attempt to make up with her. Helen gets the women in the laundry to agree and tells Joan they are all on strike. Ann tells Rick that the Department has asked for Sonia to be transferred in exchange for a prisoner from Barnhurst, and she intends to send Bobbie with her. Ann goes with Joan to see what's going on in the laundry while Doreen fixes up the doctored tape for Ann and Joan to hear over the PA, making it appear that Joan was receiving a sexual proposition from Bert. Sarah is told Tim Carter has been caught and has cleared her, so she is released. Helen is transferred to B block for arranging the joke tape. Sarah says goodbye to the women and lets Cass hold the baby to make up for her earlier mistrust. Joan tells Cass that Margo is being transferred from Barnhurst. Sonia and Bobbie are put in the car to go to Barnhurst, but the driver pulls a gun on them and backs the car into a lorry in a layby .

When Doreen and Helen are shown pretending to read while waiting for Bert in the library, someone has chosen their books with care: Doreen's is "Killing Time" and Helen's is "Murderer on Duty" ...Not to mention the book propped up on the shelves as Helen gives Bert a freebie .

Cass appears in place of Bobbie in the opening mugshot sequence.

No-one is keen on the idea of Margo being transferred to Wentworth and Cass tells them Margo was dealing drugs to people of Bobbie's age in Barnhurst. Gloria tells them all that Bobbie's cell has been cleared out and they realise that Bobbie has gone along with Sonia. Margo is brought to Wentworth and is surprised that Joan is still working there. Judy demands to see the Governor and is told that Bobbie has been transferred to Barnhurst for her own safety, along with Sonia. This last piece of news at least cheers up Judy. Doreen uses the PA to announce Joan's transfer to the North Pole. Cass mopes around as she misses Bobbie and feels she has no mates any more. Myra tries to convince the women to start a go slow to improve conditions, and has to warn Margo when she offers to peddle drugs. Pixie panics and gives herself up when two policemen walk into the shop where she is working. Inspector Rouse questions Phyllis: she gets her story mixed up and is told that Cheryl is now able to speak about the incident and has already given the police the full story. Joan has been present during the interview and takes the opportunity to get Phyllis on her side against Reb. Joan finds the women in the laundry aren't working: Myra explains why and tells her to pass their demands on to the Governor. Ann is told that Bobbie and Sonia didn't arrive at Barnhurst. Kay goes to Wentworth to visit Gloria. Pixie is brought back to Wentworth and still seems a bit in the dark about what has happened: she asks Colleen whether or not she gave her permission to get married. Joan collects Myra for a visit from Kay, even though she knows it is Gloria Kay has come to visit. The women see a report of Sonia and Bobbie's "escape" on TV. Margo taunts Judy and Pixie about their relationship, and is put to share a cell with Pixie, objecting furiously to the other "pink" half of the cell. Joan demands information from Margo about the drugs trade in Barnhurst and Fellowes' involvement in it: she suspects Margo has been transferred to Wentworth to open up new markets. Joan warns Margo that she doesn't intend to let Fellowes get any sort of foothold in Wentworth. Pixie seems distracted and preoccupied - even more so than usual. Sonia and Bobbie are locked in a warehouse near Sydney. Phyllis tries to run a book but Myra, who is now top dog, won't let the women bet. Joan catches Reb handing money to Phyllis and confiscates it, implicating Gloria for lagging on the scheme. Sonia is taken alone to see Renner, leaving Bobbie behind. Renner tells her she has been captured to exchange for Eddie. Myra tests out Judy's theory that Joan is setting her up to be caught bashing Gloria. When she finds her cleaning a corridor on her own, Myra goes to a cell and makes a loud noise by slamming a peephole: Joan duly turns up on cue. Sonia asks Renner to take her on after he's dealt with Eddie: Renner tells his associate Keith to get rid of Bobbie.

Every time "Prisoner" took an outing to Sydney, they made sure to get a shot of one of the famous landmarks in as soon as possible. Here it is the turn of the Harbour Bridge which can be seen from Kurt Renner's panoramic office view .

    EPISODE 443

Broadcast on Channel 5 Sunday 10 January 1998 04:40 Renner gives Bobbie a chance to prove her worth to the Fellowes Organisation. Gloria is injured and Myra is put on a charge. Drugs are getting into Wentworth again, but Myra can't prove anything.

  • Sonia casually suggests to Renner that Bobbie could be put on the streets, and that would let the police know they are in Sydney. Pixie is concerned for Rick's private life and tries to find out of he's got a girlfriend. Meg has a message for Myra from Alan: Kay has left home. Margo wants Phyllis to take the orders for the drugs. Myra puts her case for the women's demands and says she wants more rehabilitation, including training for the women. Renner decides not to have Bobbie killed, and Sonia has to tell her she's going to work for her on the streets. Margo tells the women to give their orders for drugs to Phyllis. Meg suggests that Judy could be moved in with Myra, and is appalled to find that Gloria could be a witness against Myra. Myra is provoked by Gloria arguing about people should be allowed to "do their own thing" and follows her out of the laundry to confront her with her ingratitude for what Myra did for her. Meg catches Myra threatening to carve up Gloria's face and takes her before Ann who tells her she's planning to move Gloria to another block and makes her promise not to harm her until then. Bobbie has to have sex with the pimp who's been assigned to keep an eye on her. Margo's "sister" visits and hints about the quality of the soap and powder she's brought in as gifts. Doreen gets an invitation to Hans' wedding. Margo examines the talcum powder tin and finds the cocaine hidden in the base. Judy asks Ann to have Pixie's rented room searched for the wedding card to back up her story: Meg agrees to go and look for it, and Pixie gives her a list of other items she'd like her to collect too. Colleen points out that Myra's organisational abilities make her potential top dog material. Joan tells Phyllis she has to "mess up" Gloria and frame Myra for it. Reb buys some coke from Margo and offers her services selling or getting stuff in, and is told where to get off, as her reputation for double dealing had even reached Barnhurst. Myra and Judy find Margo dealing to Frances, search her cell for cocaine and find some up her sleeve. Reb tries to get Phyllis to tell her where Margo's drugs are hidden. Pixie says she doesn't want to share with Margo because of the drugs deals: Joan overhears her. Myra is assigned to the kitchen with Phyllis and Frances, despite Judy's protests. Meg recovers the card , but admits that it may not be enough on its own to help Pixie and wants to try to trace Ralph. Margo taunts Judy and Pixie with snide remarks about them being on together. Phyllis makes Gloria bend over in front of the stove and pours a pot of boiling water over her back , then starts yelling that Myra did it. Joan is there to witness the incident and put Myra on a charge.

    EPISODE 444

Broadcast on Channel 5 Tuesday 12 January 1998 04:40 Myra is punished for scalding Gloria and the Freak is victorious once more. Pixie is high for her trial and there's a showdown to see who will be Top Dog.

Doreen reports the accident in the kitchen. Judy says she knew something was fishy when Joan sent Myra and Gloria on kitchen duty. Joan tells Phyllis the Governor has been told that Gloria was to be witness against Myra at her trial, giving her another motive for the attack. Pixie sees her lawyer: he tells her Ralph has gone missing so he isn't able to back up her story. Phyllis tells Ann that Myra had said after the attack that Gloria wouldn't be able to talk now. Ann confesses that she's surprised by Phyllis breaking the no-lagging rule. She is also worried that Erica won't support her treatment of the go-slow. Renner tells Sonia he has grudge against Eddie for shooting him in the leg, so he intends to kill him personally, but until then he wants Sonia to be "nice" to him (by which he undoubtedly means "naughty"). Gino's brother Mario shows Bobbie to her new place working the streets. Judy doesn't believe Myra hurt Gloria and thinks Phyllis must have done it. Bobbie is harassed by two other prostitutes for moving off her allotted beat. Judy fails to convince Ann that Myra didn't injure Phyllis, as she's only arguing from her gut feeling and has no evidence. Sonia agrees with Renner that if Bobbie's as bad as everyone says then she'll have to go. Pixie tries to matchmake between Rick and Meg. Bobbie at last gets a customer. Joan asks for time off to go to Sydney with her father to see a specialist and is told that Colleen is coming back to work full time but not as Deputy Governor. Sonia warns Bobbie to improve her attitude or she won't be able to use her influence to protect her. Margo finds her cell trashed (presumably by Joan as she turns up on cue to gloat), but checks and finds her cocaine is still in its hiding places: inside a bar of soap and in a powder cannister. Meg invites Rick for dinner and Colleen arrives home early and joins them. Sonia has a visit from Libby Blake, her predecessor as Renner's mistress and sends her packing with the words "you're out, I'm in". Joan visits Myra in solitary to say she's going away on a trip but she looks forward to following the progress of Myra's trial in the newspapers. Pixie runs out of soap, checks Margo's toiletries and has a sniff at the cocaine: her eyes widen and she rattles off to the shower at top speed. Reb hears her apologise for knocking over the talcum powder and notes Margo's reaction. Meg tells Rick about the rumours Pixie is spreading about them. Colleen questions Gloria: she blames Myra and vows she will be at her trial to help have her put away. Reb arrives at the last minute: Reb is still euphoric about everything. Myra returns from solitary and Pixie is taken to court still under the influence. Judy begs Myra to see off Margo's bid for top dog. Margo finds all her cocaine is gone, and some of it has been replaced with talcum powder: she goes to find Myra in the laundry. Margo attacks Myra and accuses her of having her drugs stolen, but Myra gets the better of her.

    EPISODE 445

  • Meg stops the fight and takes Myra and Margo to Ann. Meg's view of the incident was that Myra attacked Margo and Margo didn't retaliate, so Myra is sent back to solitary for 24 hours. Bobbie gets money towards a plane ticket from a customer when he finds out she has been forced into prostitution. Margo is put to work in the kitchen and tries to take the credit for having Myra put in solitary. Reb lets Margo know she's got her cocaine, but will only return it for a greater than half share in the business. A new remand prisoner is put in uniform and sent to work in the laundry, so the women put her straight about her rights. Colleen asks to be reinstated as Deputy Governor but Ann asks her to wait a few more weeks before taking on the responsibility. Myra sees her solicitor: he isn't happy with her getting herself put in solitary so she explains how things really work in prison and tells him she was set up. Bobbie meets a young man called Jack while waiting for customers. A workman arrives to fix the press. Judy tells Colleen about the mistake over the remand prisoner Diana. Margo steals pepper from the kitchen. Pixie returns from court with six months extra for escaping. Meg is told to pass on a message to Cass that her brother is ill. The new prisoner is transferred: Judy suspects this is only to cover-up for Meg's mistake. Bobbie tells a boy he's far too young for her and gives him his money back. Margo creeps up behind Cass and rubs pepper in her eyes: Judy finds a pink handkerchief on the floor. Kay visits Gloria in hospital: Gloria says she'll be scarred for life and she never wants to see any of Desmond family again. Doreen asks Judy to give the handkerchief to her and she'll work out who it belongs to. Joan takes her father for his test then visits the grave of Audrey Forbes and has a flashback to their love affair while she was an officer and Audrey a prisoner. Rick meets Eddie and agrees to pass information from Eddie about Sonia and Bobbie, but to Inspector Maynard in person only. Renner shows Sonia a newspaper article about Libby Blake's murder ("CALL-GIRL FOUND SLAIN!" though the picture appears to be someone else). Reb reclaims her handkerchief after Doreen leaves it in plain view in the rec room: Doreen lays into her for peppering Cass. Rick is outside but arrives too late: Doreen claims the noise was on the television. Margo's snide comments make Reb realise that it was her who attacked Cass. Eddie turns up as one of Bobbie's customers and gives her a message to pass on to Sonia. Joan's flashback continues: she swears to protect Audrey but finds her dead, killed by the other prisoners. She wakes up from the nightmare, smashing a glass of water at her bedside. Reb lets Margo know she knows she peppered Cass and pays Doreen back by pouring porridge down inside Doreen's shirt: Doreen grabs Judy's porridge to return the favour but spills it on Rick's uniform. She fears she will get an extra charge this time when she's nearly due for release and doesn't want one. Myra's trial takes place in the corner of a very small room . Sonia comes to see Bobbie, but is called away to meet Renner, who hints to her that she asks far too many questions for his liking and suspects she has her eye on his business. Myra gives evidence: she tells most of the story but doesn't tell the court what her husband said about Kay which made her hit him. Kay's own evidence makes it look bad for Myra.

Another Sydney landmark featured in this episode is the fountain in the square where Bobbie meets Jack , which is the El Alamein fountain in the King's Cross area.
