  • Myra demonstrates to Sonia that Joan is nothing to be afraid of. Joan thanks her sarcastically for giving her a "new lease of life". Reb takes refuge with Sarah, asks to stay the night and books a flight for the next day. Phyllis tries to stay awake so Cass and Judy don't take the gun from her. Sarah tells Reb her boyfriend is coming soon, but when the doorbell rings it is the police making a house to house search for Reb. Colleen doesn't eat her dinner and has a liquid lunch instead. She confesses to Meg that her life seems empty without her family. Cass tries to get the gun from Phyllis, but Cheryl wakes her up. Kevin pays a friend Tim to find Reb and gives him a list of places she might be: he spots her at Sarah's and is told to keep a watch on the house overnight. Joan suggests Myra is moved away from Sonia, but Ann refuses to countenance a charge. Ann is however persuaded by Joan that she should go home to get some rest. Sarah's boyfriend Barry arrives: Reb introduces herself disguised with a face pack. Colleen tells Meg she doesn't want her to go to her family's funeral as she wants to say her goodbyes alone. Judy gets the gun from Phyllis when she falls asleep, but collapses under the strain, and Phyllis gets it back. Next morning, Phyllis orders them to walk north when Cass says she saw the sun come up and work out from that how to get back to the bus. Tim reports to Kevin: he is told to pose as an electrician to gain entry to the house and open the back door to let him in. Meg tells Rick she is glad he is going to the funeral and is sorry Colleen talked her out of going. Doreen tries shop-lifting clothes, but another shop-lifter is caught instead. Reb gets ready to leave, and runs into Kevin in the kitchen: he orders her to hand over the money straight away. Cass leads Phyllis round in a circle, and manages to overpower her. Judy fires the gun into the air to attract attention. Doreen holds up a woman in a supermarket, but she's an old friend and thinks it's a joke. Kevin roughs up Reb, so Sarah hands over the case where the money is supposed to be, but it is empty. When Kevin turns to Reb, Sarah picks up a knife from the floor. Colleen is upset when Rick comes to see her to apologise for going to the funeral against her wishes. She tells him to go away. Doreen finally succeeds in getting arrested by taking part in a protest against a sex shop and attacking a police officer with a placard. Judy and the others are brought back to Wentworth: Phyllis accuses Cass of the kidnapping. Kevin turns on Sarah and her baby to get Reb to talk. Tim punches him and he falls on the knife Sarah is holding .

  • Reb refuses to let Sarah phone the police and asks her to help her "get rid" of Kevin. Ann doesn't believe Judy's story and lets her know how disappointed she is in her, though Meg does believe her. Reb puts Kevin's body in the car. Barry calls on Sarah, but she sends him away. Reb leaves with the money. Colleen is about to have another drink but smashes the glass and bursts into tears. Doreen is brought back to Wentworth: Helen and Myra tell her she's crazy to get back inside deliberately. Colleen tells Meg she intends to go back to work. Reb is spotted by detectives at the airport, is chased back to the car park and arrested. Sarah's neighbour lets her know she saw the electrician's van outside and heard the noise. Sarah's documents are found in Reb's pocket: she claims she stole the jacket in a cafe, but the police find the body in the back of the van. Bobbie tries to admit guilt for stealing while on the run, but Minnie takes the blame. Sarah is preparing to leave when her boyfriend Barry calls round. Judy wants Myra to take over as top dog because she can't do the job with her heart problems. The police question Sarah: she is told she will be charged with murder and put on remand and the police will refuse bail. Reb is brought back to Wentworth. Meg warns her the trouble she's caused may have made her very unpopular with the other women. Dr Weissman tells Ann she is impressed with Sonia's progress and asks Ann to arrange for him to see Eddie. Joan tells Reb she will make her pay for the Major's stroke, as she's the only one of the three still left alive. Doreen starts a book as she hears Rick approaching the laundry in the hope of getting a longer sentence, but Joan takes his place so Doreen brings the press down to hide the money. Minnie is transferred to B block: Cass blames Bobbie. Sarah is brought to Wentworth. Eddie comes to visit Sonia and seems to want to help her. Minnie says goodbye to Bobbie and Cass. Bobbie tells Cass she'd like them to be friends again. Reb hears Sarah being brought to solitary and shouts to her, but Sarah says she doesn't want anything to do with her. Doreen arranges for Rick to find gambling money in her laundry skip, but he asks Meg's advice who says she thinks Doreen is doing it deliberately, so he decides not to charge her. Eddie admits phoning Rick about the car bomb, and meets Rick at home later to tell Rick that Lionel Fellowes wants Rick dead and has asked him to do it.

  • The women admire the officers' new khaki uniforms. Doreen sees Myra's suggestion of a Prisoners' Union as a way to extend her sentence. Kay tells Alan she can't have a party for her birthday as all her friends are ignoring her. He suggests she goes to visit Myra as a way of stopping her visiting Gloria as she wants to. Workmen arrive to install a PA system and Joan outlines the security arrangements to them. Detectives interview Colleen to find the connection between Rick and Eddie, but they are the corrupt detectives mentioned by Meryl King. Eddie Stevens' car is found run off the road. [This is obviously an economy version of the original idea, as Ann twice says later in the episode that his car was found "at the bottom of a cliff"] A news reporter appears on the scene and is told the identification of Eddie Stevens isn't for print just yet. Colleen asks Ann if she can return to work and is told she will be rostered on the following day. Colleen tells Rick about the visit from the detectives. Ann overhears and tells Rick the Department have ordered him to stay overnight in prison for his own safety. She wants to know what is going on after he has been warned. Doreen tries a sit down strike in the kitchen: this time it is Joan who catches her and she goes for Rick for help to remover her physically. Judy comes out of the infirmary and finds out about Minnie's transfer. Doreen is disappointed to get only cleaning duties for punishment. Kay visits Myra in prison, and tells her she is still seeing Gloria. Myra begs her to stay away from Gloria, but Kay refuses. Colleen buys a bottle of vodka from a bar at lunchtime when a businessman tries to chat her up. Ann tells Sonia that Eddie is dead: her reaction is cold and controlled when she asks if there were any suspicious circumstances. Sonia hints to Myra that she thinks Eddie was disposed of, but tells Myra she doesn't want her sympathy. Alan arrives home to find Gloria with Kay, and is told she is moving in. Sarah comes out of solitary, and the women find out that it's Reb who is responsible for her being inside. Joan overhears the women bargaining with Reb what she should say about the escape. Sonia suspects Rick of involvement in Eddie's death. Joan arranges another cell shuffle:- Reb with Phyllis; Sarah with Judy. Joan smiles to herself when she overhears Phyllis suggest to Reb that they should let Joan carry on thinking they are enemies. Phyllis offers to fix Joan for Reb, if Reb will say Judy had the gun. Gloria throws a party for Kay and Alan calls the police: cocaine is found and everyone there is charged. Eddie phones Rick to tell him he's undercover to nail Mears and Birmingham, the two corrupt officers. Alan visits Myra to tell her Kay has been charged and fined. Gloria is brought to Wentworth on a six week sentence and sees Alan leaving. Her comments allow Joan to work out the connection between Gloria and Myra. Colleen prepares a flask of vodka to take to work. Joan deliberately sets Myra onto Gloria: Myra lands her a resounding slap across the face then tries to throttle her.

  • Ian McFadyen's name is misspelt in the credits, this time as "McFaden".

Judy is threatened with the "new" high security prison at Blackmoor, the first time it is mentioned. Presumably this does not mean "newly built" as we will see when Rita Connors is transferred there in (666).

Sonia stops Myra choking Gloria by pointing out that it's one of Joan's set-ups. When Gloria thanks her, Sonia says she was only concerned to help Myra out. Ray Foster phones Sonia to offer his "condolences" after Eddie's death and strengthen her suspicion of Rick by telling her that Rick was the last person to see Eddie alive. Colleen returns to work to a pile of unopened mail, presumably sympathy cards. Reb is interviewed by detectives Mears and Birmingham and incriminates Judy and Cass in the kidnapping. Meg tells the detectives she can't believe Judy was involved in any way. Sarah shows Joey off to the women, but takes her away from Cass when Phyllis tells Sarah of the kidnapping and her crimes. Doreen gets suspicious when she notices that Rick never seems to go home. The women offer their sympathy to Colleen, which send her racing off to the staff room for a vodka coffee: Doreen sniffs her cup while cleaning the staff room. Detectives Mears and Birmingham question Cass and Judy, who find out from them the accusations that Reb has been making against them. Judy tells the women that Reb has lagged. Myra promises to make Reb and Phyllis change their story. Sonia offers Myra some information: Gloria shouldn't even be in Wentworth as she's a witness for the prosecution in Myra's case. Under the circumstances, any attempt to get her would look like trying to fix her trial. Doreen gives Cass a drawing she's done of Rick . Myra thinks the way to get to Reb is through Sarah and Joey. Sonia refuses to go to Eddie's funeral and taunts Rick about his girlfriend's death. Meg sees Rick about to threaten Sonia physically. One of the detectives asks to talk to Sonia to offer his condolences for Eddie's death: when he meets her he passes her cyanide and tells her to poison Rick's food. She asks him to pass on to Fellowes that it will a "pleasure". Meg warns Rick that if she sees him giving the women a hard time again she will be forced to report it. Sonia tells Joan that she's being protected by Lionel Fellowes: Gloria overhears and tries to pal up with Sonia. Sonia refuses to play ball and tells Gloria she'll have to do something to earn her friendship. Colleen drowns her sorrows and is drunk by the time Meg gets home. Sonia asks Gloria to leave the kitchen while she's on duty and meet her in the shower block at 11 o'clock. Doreen steals Mrs O'Reagan's order book and takes the blame when it is found to be missing: Rick refuses to put her on a charge for it. Sonia gives Gloria a "laxative" to put in Rick's food, pretending that it's a way of getting back at him for trying to take advantage of Eddie's death to proposition her. Doreen sees Colleen taking a swig from her flask and raises her voice in greeting to Joan to alert Colleen to her approach. She then bumps into Colleen to lift the flask from her to stop her getting into trouble. Cass gets it from her and gives it back to Colleen, who interprets this as a deliberate attempt to humiliate her. Gloria goes into the cold store to dope a glass of milk and gives it to Rick.

  • Cass spills the milk over Rick when she fumbles the glass when passing it to him: most of it goes on the floor and Harry the cat laps it up. Sonia is displeased, but Gloria can't understand what it was she did that was so bad. Helen finds out Bobbie's Walkman can record and wants to use it to get together with Bert. Inspector Maynard tells Rick that Fellowes knows that Eddie is alive via a "leak" from his Department. Rick points the finger at Mears and Birmingham, but Inspector Maynard says they are still lacking any proof of their corruption. Cass finds Harry dead by the rubbish bins and tells Rick and Gloria. Gloria confronts Sonia and wants to know what it was she gave her to feed to Rick as it certainly wasn't a laxative. Doreen tapes Joan telling her off and taking a week's buyup from her as a punishment The women discuss Cass and Bobbie's crush on Rick. Helen says that neither of them have a chance and Judy reckons there will only be trouble if they compete with each other. Ann tells Rick that Mrs O'Reagan thinks the cat was poisoned so he decides not to eat his dinner. Cass and Bobbie make themselves up with Helen's help and vie for Rick's attentions. Rick challenges Sonia about the poisoning: she challenges him to prove it and vows to get even for Eddie's death. Sarah tells Reb to stay away from her. Joan tells Phyllis she must bash Reb after lights out and that she needn't worry about being found out the following morning as she will be on duty. Meg tells Colleen she must stop drinking or move out: she is further dismayed when Colleen admits that Cass caught her with the flask. Reb realises what is going on when Joan drops in before lights out to make a few more hints to Phyllis. Cass finds her portrait of Rick has been vandalised with drawn on vampire teeth . Phyllis provides sound effects by punching a pillow while Joan is outside the cell and Reb pretends to be in a bad way next morning. Colleen prepares another flask to take to work. Bobbie and Doreen squabble to divert Joan while Helen makes a date with Bert. Doreen is pleased to be taken to the Governor. Sonia's "mother" visits: she is really a contact from Fellowes who tells her she will be sprung from Wentworth during a transfer to Barnhurst. Judy plots with Sarah and offers her the opportunity to get back at Reb: she tells Sarah to let Reb know that the women are going to bash her and frame Sarah for it. Doreen gets to front the VJ at last. Bobbie faints in front of Rick to try to seduce him, but he tells her not to be silly. Cass tries applying makeup on her own but looks in the mirror at her smudged efforts and wipes it off again. Ann catches Colleen having a drink in the staff room. Bobbie tears her clothes and runs to Meg accusing Rick of rape.
